Shades Systems supplied and installed large-scale car parking shades at King Salman Science Oasis in Riyadh, creating comfortable, protected parking areas that complement the landscaped public setting. The completed rows provide consistent coverage for visitors and staff while maintaining clear vehicle circulation, generous bay access, and an orderly architectural rhythm across the site.
Breathable knitted HDPE fabric was selected for its suitability to Riyadh’s hot, dry climate. The permeable membrane allows warm air to escape while providing strong UV protection and reducing direct solar heat on parked vehicles. Its warm neutral finish also integrates naturally with the oasis landscaping and surrounding architecture without adding visual weight.
The shade system is supported by engineered steel frames designed for the site layout and local wind loads. Structural members, connections, fabric spans, and installation sequencing were coordinated to deliver stable long-term performance across the extensive parking area. Components were manufactured through our Jeddah factory under controlled quality procedures before being transported to Riyadh for installation.
