Car Parking Shades at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah

Large-scale car parking shade installation for one of the Middle East's busiest aviation hubs, engineered for Jeddah's demanding coastal climate.

King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) is one of the largest and busiest aviation hubs in the Middle East, handling millions of passengers annually through its Hajj and commercial terminals. Shades Systems was engaged to supply and install car parking shade structures for the airport's landside parking facilities.

The project demanded structures engineered to withstand Jeddah's demanding coastal climate — extreme summer heat, high humidity, and occasional windstorms — while meeting the rigorous safety and aesthetic standards expected of a flagship national infrastructure site. Our Jeddah factory produced galvanised steel frames with PVDF fabric covers, all manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality controls and fabricated to meet civil aviation site requirements.

Installation was coordinated in phased zones to avoid disruption to airport operations. Every structural element was hot-dip galvanised for long-term corrosion resistance, and the PVDF fabric was selected for its proven UV-blocking performance and durability under the Saudi sun.
