Comprehensive shading solutions enhancing comfort across the sprawling university campus in Madinah.
Educational institutions require expansive, comfortable, and safe outdoor environments for their students and faculty. The Islamic University of Madinah directly engaged Shades Systems to provide a campus-wide shading solution covering primary pedestrian walkways, gathering areas, and large parking lots.
We deployed a combination of robust steel frameworks and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) mesh fabrics. HDPE was selected for its excellent breathability, dramatically lowering ambient temperatures beneath the canopy while offering up to 95% UV block. The architectural design of the walkway shades seamlessly integrates with the university’s traditional aesthetics, providing thousands of students with shaded transit routes during the intense Madinah summers.
